Last summer was full of travel firsts plus exciting experiences for my family. The highlight of our time in Arizona was staying at the Sanctuary Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Sanctuary is a luxury resort within Camelback Mountain. Even though we only stayed for a couple of days, the Sanctuary Resort had this unique luxury amenity I didn’t expect to receive. Learn about why you need to stay here in Arizona.
Sanctuary on Camelback Resort
Checking in to the Resort
We entered the resort after midnight complete with two sleeping children. Even though we pulled up to the concierge stand so late, the staff was still very warm and welcoming.
Check-in was a breeze and they made sure we had cold bottled water to stay hydrated in the Arizona heat before showing us to our room. Since we arrived so late we didn’t get to actually explore Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa until the next day.
After we parked our car the bellhop took us to an oversized cottage type of building. At first I thought it was an entry door to multiple suites, but wow was I wrong.
Sanctuary on Camelback Resort King Suite
The bellhop opened up the door, complete with its own doorbell, to take ourluggage inside and my family immediately perked up at the sight of the one-bedroom king suite.
The suite was spacious, luxuriously appointed and all ours.
Since we were too excited to sleep, we decided to explore the rooms of our beautifully decorated suite, before we fell into the plush king-sized bed.
Check out the full video tour above of our king suite so you can really see why you need to stay at Sanctuary Camelback Resort:
Every suite at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa features modern chic décor, neutral color tones, custom crafted wood furnishings, wood-burning fireplaces and a spacious bathroom that includes an oversized luxurious soaking tub with separate shower.
My kids actually argued over how many baths they each could take during our stay in that fabulous tub.
One of my favorite parts of our suite, besides the bold and beautiful butterfly rug in the living room, was the balcony area.
Our suite had sliding glass doors off of the bedroom and living room. The table, chairs and chaise lounges provided comfortable seating so you can relax while staring in awe at Camelback Mountain.
My family and I all agreed this was a resort we never wanted to leave.
elements Restaurant at Sanctuary
We woke up well-rested after our first night at Sanctuary and walked over to elements for breakfast. Elements is an on-site restaurant at Sanctuary which has farm-fresh cuisine, and offers gluten-free and vegetarian options also.
Once we arrived at the restaurant, the first thing the kids noticed was the view of the spectacular infinity pool. I was still in awe of the breathtaking views of Camelback Mountain from all areas of the resort.
We sat outside at elements, overlooking the pool, and enjoyed one of the best breakfasts our family has ever had together. I highly recommend the ’macmuffin’ breakfast sandwich if you ever get the opportunity to dine at elements.
Now it wasn’t just the delicious foods that made the experience so memorable, but it was that luxury amenity of reconnection. Even the kids took the time to reflect on the beauty of this resort while enjoying tech free family time.
Why You Should Visit Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort
This resort is pure luxury.
Not just because you can retreat to your spacious casita or suite, which all offer spectacular views of the famous Paradise Valley, but because Sanctuary Resort has this unique luxury amenity.
This resort is special because it encourages you to reconnect.
Indulge your foodie senses at elements, feel refreshed and rejuvenated at the Sanctuary Spa (one of the top spas in the U.S.), refresh your spirit by participating in a paddle-board yoga class at the infinity pool, or spend a day pool hopping, lounging and soaking up the beauty of this resort like my family did.
We left this resort feeling relaxed and our family bond even that much stronger from the quality time spent together.
Since I haven’t been able to get this incredible resort out of my head, my husband and I are already planning a kid-free trip, while the kids get to vacation at home.
Have you ever had a travel experience that you can’t get out of your mind? That is exactly how I feel about the Sanctuary Resort on Camelback.
Who would you like to take to this incredible place to reconnect and relax with?
