Arizona is home to National Parks, picturesque mountain views, delicious foods, historic resorts, cool cacti, exciting nightlife and much more. With so many resort and hotel choices in Arizona, especially within the Phoenix area, it can be overwhelming to pick one.

For as much as I travel, I admit that the first time I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale AZ I was absolutely shocked (in a good way).
This sprawling resort caters to people of all ages by providing both family, adult and even pet fun too.
With such a wide variety of unique amenities and experiences I promise you will never want to leave.

7 Reasons to Stay at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale:
1. Picturesque Property Plus Stunning Mountain Views
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa is a 27-acre family friendly resort surrounded by the Sonoran Desert. The McDowell Mountains (which can be seen in the picture above) act as the perfect backdrop to frame this property.
Despite its size (there are almost 500 guest rooms and suites) the resort gives off an intimate feeling thanks to many cozy seating and lounge areas.
Make sure to spend some time exploring the grounds, which are filled with palm trees, cacti, interesting works of art, unique architecture, waterways and pools.
2. Spa Avania
Get yourself feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated at Spa Avania, which is a luxurious oasis located right at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale.
They offer personalized treatments, a mineral pool, relaxing lotus pond, full service salon, and a variety of delicious food options.
The spa even has a deluxe fitness center where you can join in on one of the many exercise classes they offer.
I indulged in a hydrafacial during my stay, which left my skin feeling clean, soft and instantly looking younger.
A favorite part of my spa experience here was hanging by the mineral pool, sipping a glass of wine and relaxing with a good friend.
3. Wine Me, Dine Me Culinary Experience at SWB
With 8 dining options to choose from plus room service at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa, there is a variety of food to accommodate a wide range of tastes.
At SWB’s Wine Me, Dine Me, the chef will prepare a custom menu and serve a 4-course custom meal along with tequila and wine pairings.
This is a delicious and unique culinary experience you won’t want to miss out on, especially if you are a foodie like me.
Even better was that our street corn was served in the cutest petite stoneware casserole dish.
4. Water Playground
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa doesn’t just have a pool or two, instead they have 10 swimming pools, 20 fountains, 45 waterfalls, and a 3-story high-speed waterslide to enjoy during your stay.
There are so many areas to swim, play, and cool off from the Arizona heat that I know my kids would never want to leave.
You could easily spend your vacation simply exploring a new pool each day and never even leaving this beautiful resort.
5. Gondola Boat Rides
Want to see the resort and surrounding area, including those stunning mountain views in a different way?
You can ride around the resort’s lake in a handcrafted Italian Gondola while being serenaded.
This reason to stay at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale absolutely tops my list. You don’t even need to go all the way to Italy to get this experience.
Instead visit Phoenix so you can cruise around the resort’s 7 acre lake in style.
I would definitely love to come back here next year to celebrate my birthday.
6. 4Paws
We are a family who often likes to travel with our two labradoodles. I appreciate that the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale has a luxury pet friendly program.
Pet guests will receive a special welcome letter along with many amenities including individually wrapped dog treats, a Kong® Pillow Bed, and food and water dishes with a floor mat.
7. Regency Club® rooms
Book a Regency Club® room so you can enjoy exciting extra perks during your stay at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale.
Stop in for complimentary breakfast, snacks, drinks and evening hors d’oeuvres.
I enjoyed a delicious breakfast here one morning along with a beautiful view of the peaceful lagoon area.
The Regency Club® is such a great option and perfect for traveling with kids, or even when you travel without them. This way you can always have snacks and drinks available.
