Give Back At The Same Time You Shop For Back To School

Summer is quickly winding down (unfortunately) and I have been working on getting my whole family in back to school mode. I recently finished shopping for my kids clothes, shoes, and of course school supplies. There is also something priceless that we shopped for this back to school season, giving back. Big thanks to BIC USA Inc. for sponsoring this post (all opinions are my own) so I can share how to give back at the same time you shop for back to school.

Involving Your Kids in Giving Back

Something I have always stressed to my kids ever since they were little, is to always look for ways they can give back or help someone else (both big and small) throughout life.

Each year while we are doing our back to school shopping, my kids help purchase additional school bags and supplies for my family to donate to a backpack drive .

My daughter loves donating a few pieces of clothing from her back to school clothes to a local clothing drive.

Last year my son even had the great idea, while we were shopping for back to school, to anonymously put money on a few school lunch accounts of kids in need.

This year we bought BIC stationary products, so we could participate in the BIC Bucks for Teachers program to help support public school teachers and classrooms.

Here’s How You Can Give Back At The Same Time You Shop For Back To School

Now through September 15th there is a unique way to give back while you are shopping for back to school supplies, called the BIC Bucks for Teachers program.

BIC USA Inc. is very generously donating $100,000 to DonorsChoose.org (a crowdfunding site for public school teachers). This site makes it simple for people to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from all over America create project requests for their classroom, and you can give back to any of the projects that inspire you.

Want to know how to easily participate in the BIC Bucks for Teachers program?

There are three simple steps:

  1. Purchase $10 or more (before taxes or coupons) of BIC® stationery products.
  2. Take a picture of your receipt and upload it on BICBucksforTeachers.com to apply for the $10 BIC Bucks donation code.
  3. Once you receive your DonorsChoose.org donation code, you can contribute to the classroom project of your choice on DonorsChoose.org/bicbucksforteachers.

Visit DonorsChose.org and let me know what project you would choose to help support a classroom with your BIC Bucks.
