When you ask my now 11 year old daughter what she’s excited about for a new school year, her first response is fun back to school outfits!
She loves our tradition of a day out together. Our day always includes lunch, school supplies, new shoes and of course cute back to school outfits. Here are 5 back to school outfits for girls to help give you some stylish inspiration for your kids.

We recently had our back to school shopping day and we headed to OshKosh. I love that they have quality mix and match kids clothing and accessories which allows their personalities to shine through.
The best part is that OshKosh encourages kids to be themselves.
One of my favorite things to watch as my daughter gets older is seeing her personal style evolve. She loves to copy my casual fashion by wearing graphic tees and always having a denim jacket on hand, while also showing off her girly, fun-loving side.
My daughter isn’t afraid to simply be herself, and the back to school outfits for middle school that she picked from OshKosh definitely reflect that.
5 Fun Back To School Outfits
1. Floral Dresses
Do your kids like to pick out a special outfit for the first day of school or maybe even for picture day?
The minute my daughter saw these pretty floral dresses, she knew they would make perfect options for the first day of school.
Your child can wear this outfit well into fall by topping it off with a cardigan or a jean jacket.
Right before we left the store my daughter spied some stylish sunglasses to accessorize her outfit with.
2. Denim Jumper and Shift Dresses
Let kids show off their unique style with jumpers and shift dresses.
They can wear them alone or paired with a long-sleeved tee underneath and tights or leggings.
3. Graphic Tees and Leggings
Encourage your child to always dream big, and that it’s always ok to get lost in a good book.
My daughter loved all the fun and motivational words on the variety of graphic tees, and she mixed and matched them with fun leggings.
4. Jump for Jumpsuits and One-Piece Outfits
Jumpsuits and one-pieces are stylish and simple back to school outfits because they allow kids to really show off their independent style.
I loved watching my daughter’s eyes light up when she saw this trendy short sleeved, polka dot jumpsuit. I could already picture her adding a denim jacket or brightly colored cardigan to wear over it on chillier days.
5. Floral Fleece Pants and a Double Ruffle Tee
One of my biggest styling tips, which I have also passed down to my kids, is that if it has pockets it’s a keeper.
My daughter spotted these cozy plus perfectly fitted fleece jogger pants and had to have them, especially thanks to the pockets.
I love that they have a functional drawcord and they come in solid colors and also a floral print. There are so many tops your kids can choose from to pair these pants with.
Our back to school shopping trip wasn’t complete until we participated in the B’gosh Jeanius campaign and donated a new pair of jeans.
OshKosh launched this way to give back in 2014, as an annual effort to support their customer’s local communities with donated clothing and school supply needs.
They have since partnered with DonorsChoose.org, Delivering Good, OshKosh Moms, families and friends to collect over $1.5 million and distribute more than 110,000 articles of clothing to impact the lives of over 300,000 students.
Join in through September 6th by donating a new pair of jeans in-store or making a cash contribution in-store or online.
Now that you have some inspiration thanks to these 5 fun back to school outfits for girls, which one would your child love most?
