* Our family’s stay at the Element Boston Seaport was a hosted experience but all information and opinions within this post are my own.
One of the things that my family and I really love is spontaneous travel.
This summer our family decided that we were going to take as many road trips as we could possibly fit in (pretty ambitious right).
We especially love to travel to places where we can combine learning along with family fun
What is the one element you need when visiting Boston?
When trying to figure out where to travel to first, we unanimously agreed that a weekend exploring the historic city of Boston would make the perfect spontaneous road trip.
My 13-year-old son was really interested in walking the Freedom Trail to experience historic monuments and sites, my 7-year-old daughter wanted to spend time in Boston Common, which is known as America’s oldest park, and my husband Keith had his heart set on visiting the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum as well as Cheers where everybody knows your name.
Do you know what is the one element you need when visiting Boston?
The one element you need when visiting the beautiful city of Boston is to stay at the Element Boston Seaport.
The first thing that we immediately loved about this fabulous hotel was its incredible location.
The Element Boston Seaport is directly within Boston’s thriving Seaport District and only 10 minutes away from Boston Logan International Airport.
We discovered that it was the Lawn on D, which we wound up walking across the street to visit multiple times during our weekend stay, as our whole family enjoyed hanging out there.
We checked in to the Element Boston Seaport very late at night with two tired kids in tow, and I must tell you how impressed I was with the check in process.
Not only was check-in quick, but it was informative, hassle free and the staff at the front desk couldn’t have been more kind. They even offered to keep an eye on our kids so my husband and I could grab our luggage without having to carry our tired kids back to the car.
My husband and I said that we felt right at home even before we headed up to our room.
We opened up the door to our one-bedroom suite at the Element Boston Seaport and even I squealed with delight at the sight of our modern, clean, large suite that had all of the amenities and then some of home.
Our suite had a living room with a sectional couch which opened up into the kitchen area. The Element Boston Seaport thought of everything, as the kitchen included ENERGYSTAR®-rated microwave, refrigerator, stovetop, and cookware.
One of my favorite parts of the suite was the spacious bathroom, where I enjoyed the spa like shower.
I appreciated the unique touches like shower gel, shampoo and conditioner that were provided in containers which were mounted along the back of the shower wall for easy access.
There was a full bedroom in our suite with a King sized bed.
Normally when we travel with the kids I request two beds, but we were all too tired to even attempt to change rooms or make up the pull out couch.
Instead we decided to bond even more this trip and all four of us snuggled comfortably into the large, yet cozy bed.
When you are not out exploring the city of Boston you can cool off in the indoor heated saline swimming pool at the Element Boston Seaport which is open daily from 6am – 11pm.
My kids and husband had a blast swimming and playing in the pool after a long day of exploring Boston, while I was able to sit poolside in one of the chaise lounge chairs to relax and read a book.
If you really want to keep active throughout your stay at the Element Boston Seaport they have a fitness center with 24/7 access, or you can borrow a bike and helmet for free at the front desk.
The Element Boston Seaport understands the importance of starting your day the right way, and they do so in the best way with their complimentary breakfast bar called Rise.
But wait, because Rise isn’t just any old breakfast bar.
Guests of the Element Boston Seaport are treated to a signature healthy breakfast. Start the morning with hot sandwiches, eggs, refreshing smoothies, wholesome granola, fresh fruit, whole grain breads & cereals, coffee service and more.
My husband was a big fan of the latte and specialty coffee drink machine, while my kids loved the waffles, especially the topping bar.
I know that I have told you about the location, room, food and amenities at the Element Boston Seaport but the thing that truly stuck out to me and has stayed with me since our visit was how kind, gracious and generous the staff there was. Not only to our family, but also to everyone that I watched them come in contact with.
The most unforgettable part of our stay at Element Boston Seaport was when the kitchen staff overheard us talking about my son’s 13th birthday at breakfast on the day we were checking out and they surprised him by singing happy birthday and giving him a bagful of snacks and treats for his ride back home.
As you can see the one element you need when visiting Boston is a stay at the Element Boston Seaport.
