I can’t believe the holidays will already be here very soon. One of my favorite things to do with the kids, besides travel of course, is to make a few easy, delicious and fun treats, like Rice Krispies pops.
Our whole family loves rice pops cereal and homemade Rice Krispie treats, but I can live without how sticky and messy they are.
We decided to compromise and create these easy Rice Krispies pops, which are basically delicious Rice Krispy treats on a stick.

How to make Rice Krispie Pops?
This easy Rice Krispies recipe only needs 6 ingredients for you to create a simple, delicious and fun dessert.
They are very similar to the Rice Krispie cake pops recipe, if you have ever tried those.
Easy Rice Krispies Pops Recipe:
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 10 oz. marshmallows
- 6 cups of Rice Krispies Cereal (or any cereal you love)
- Pink vanilla candy melts (pick your favorite color)
- Easter (or spring) themed sprinkles
- Cake pop sticks
Directions
- In a large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
- Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated.
- Using a buttered spatula or wax paper, evenly press the mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Let it cool and then cut into 2-inch x 3-inch bars.
- Melt the candy melts according to the package directions.
- Insert a cake pop stick into each Rice Krispies bar and then dip the top (or as much as you want) into the melted candy.
- Set the Rice Krispies pops down on a tray lined with wax paper (for easier clean up), then immediately top with sprinkles. Repeat this until all of the pops are coated in candy and sprinkles.
- Refrigerate for about an hour to let the candy harden a bit and then enjoy! You could also get some treat bags (like these) and wrap some pops up to give out for the holidays or put in a basket.
Guess what else you can do with these delicious Rice Krispies pops?
These rice pops are perfectly portable to travel with, so my kids will definitely want to bring these along as part of our road trip essentials for long car rides.
They are also a great Halloween treat or to make during a fun vacation at home!

Notes
Can you use a different cereal other than Rice Krispies for this?
Yes, in fact I encourage you to be creative with this recipe and try any cereal you want (Fruity Pebbles, Cocoa Krispies, Honey Nut Cheerios, whatever). Change up the color of the candy melts, sprinkles and more!
For my gluten free friends, you can easily make a gluten free version simply by using Rice Krispies Gluten Free Cereal.
