This a sponsored post in partnership with All of Us PA and The Motherhood.
More than ever before in my life do I know people with health issues or affected by a disease. With all the advancements in the world I often think there has to be a way to help make a change to improve health, or work toward disease prevention. Learn how you can join All Of Us so you can help improve health, thanks to this nationwide program run by the National Institutes of Health.
How can you help change the future of medicine?
The goal of the All of Us Research Program is to engage one million or more U.S. participants to revolutionize how disease is prevented and treated based on individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and genetics.
The University of Pittsburgh was awarded $4.2 million for the first year to build the infrastructure needed to launch the All of Us Research Program. There is potential for up to nearly $67 million over five years.
All of US Pennsylvania plans to enroll 120,000 patients in the region, and fund pilot studies using accrued data to advance precision medicine care. Precision medicine or personalized medicine is individual based health care. It takes into account factors like where you live, what you do, and your family health history and genetics.
How can you sign up and join All of Us so you can help improve health?
So far All of US Pennsylvania has enrolled more than 8,000 participants, and you can click here to get involved and click here for a list of locations. Participants will get compensated $25 for participating.
Just by signing up for this study you have an opportunity to help change the future of medicine.
You may also improve your own health, the health of others, and even the healthcare for your children. That is what immediately gave me the push to participate and it encourages you to join All Of Us so you can help improve health too.
