What You Need to Know About Holiday Inn Club Vacations Orange Lake Resort

What do you look for in a resort when traveling, especially with family? Since I am usually the main travel coordinator in our house, I can tell you that my standards are pretty high when it comes to where we stay. Last year, my kids and I stayed at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort for our very first time, and I can tell you that the entire experience exceeded all of our expectations.

The Holiday Inn Club Vacations Orange Lake Resort truly makes you feel at home.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Holiday Inn Club Vacations Orange Lake Resort.

Now, you may have seen pictures of this resort, which is located in the Orlando, Florida area, but I’m not sure if anything will really prepare you for how impressive it is in person.

The Holiday Inn Vacation Club Orlando resort is made up of four unique villages:

  1. East Village
  2. West Village
  3. River Island
  4. North Village

After a quick and informative check-in process, you can easily drive over to your villa to get settled in to your home away from home.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort – East Village

As my kids and I approached the East Village, we noticed a beautiful, heated pool surrounded by palm trees. We were fortunate enough to see some beautiful poolside sunsets during our stay.

After we parked, we grabbed our carry-on luggage and took the elevator up to the 4th floor. Our mouths actually dropped when we opened up the door and stepped into the large foyer (yes I said foyer).

Our villa was spacious with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, as well as a washer/dryer, full kitchen, a dining room area, a living room area and a large patio overlooking the golf course.

While we excitedly explored all 1,700 square feet, I knew we had found a resort that we’d not only highly recommend to others, but that we’d definitely want to return to someday for our own family vacations.

The best part about the villas at Orange Lake Resort is having room for the whole family to spread out, but also the space and amenities to bring everyone together.

One of my favorite memories from this trip was just watching my kids laughing and spending quality time with each other. Even though we all could have our own bedrooms, most evenings they actually wanted to hang out together and even sleep in the same room.

You’re probably wondering what exactly there is to do at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort.

Remember how I told you about my high travel standards? I’m not only looking for great accommodations, I want to make sure there’s something fun for everyone to do.

While it’s nice to find things that my kids would like to do individually, it’s even better when there’s something everyone actually wants to participate in and do together.

We found a lot of that on this trip, along with delicious breakfasts at Breezes Restaurant and Bar (which is open for meals all day), complete with the best chocolate chip pancakes.

Here is a list of the fun activities you can experience at the resort:

  • 7 heated pools, waterslides and an awesome 1,20o-foot-long lazy river (some of the pools are even zero entry)
  • Pool billiards, ping pong, racquetball
  • Outdoor playgrounds and rock-climbing wall
  • A beachy lake area to relax or play
  • Watersports (kayaking, Jet Skis tubing)
  • Activity centers and arcades for kids and teens that offers age-specific events
  • Mini golf and Putt Putt
  • Multiple golf courses
  • Tennis, basketball, volleyball
  • Hammock area in River Island to relax
  • Live Entertainment
  • Shopping
  • Dining (we had delicious pizza at Paisan Pizzeria and a great breakfast at Breezes Restaurant and Bar)
  • Fitness Center
  • Marketplace (which we frequented a lot throughout our stay for coffee, snacks, souvenirs, homemade fudge and more)

Between trying new things (golf and water sports) and doing things we already love (swimming, ping pong, mini golf), my kids and I made so many unforgettable memories together during this vacation.

They haven’t stopped talking about all the boating and tubing excitement! It was a complete win that the Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort offered pretty much anything we could have needed as a family during our vacation.

And even though we loved our time at Orange Lake Resort Orlando, it isn’t the only location you can experience this type of travel.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations has 29 resorts (and growing) so they can continue offering Members & guests new and exciting family vacation experiences.

How far is Orange Lake Resort from Universal Studios?

I know I told you all about why you would never want to leave this awesome resort, but we can’t forget that Walt Disney WorldUniversal’s Theme Parks and a variety of other off-property activities are very close by.

My kids and I decided to take advantage of the resort’s excellent location, so on our last full day of vacation, we went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. It was an easy, less than 30-minute drive from our villa.

We had such a blast together being adventurous and riding almost all of the rides at both of these parks, which are connected by a unique, magical Harry Potter train.

Since my kids are now 15 and 9, it’s wonderful to visit a theme park where we can experience the more thrilling attractions together.

After the parks closed, we walked around Citywalk and enjoyed a nice dinner while we reminisced over our week together.

A couple questions. Were you comped this visit? Were you given VIP registration? Once you stand in line and go through the gruesome checkin process, write a new article. I love this place after I get to my unit but the checkin process has got to change.

This place is amazing. We just went in July and stayed for week. When I say this was by far the best vacation experience we have had would be an understatement. We went on the resort tour and needless to say we are now proud owners as well. I can wait to come back and bring the rest of my family. The resort was just gorgeous!!!

Glad you liked it. We have been owners for many years, 20. We often say let's go down and just do stuff around the resort. Best intentions, then the kids, now grandkids, yearn for disney. For golfers, they have amazing courses.

We have been owners over 30 years. 2 days ago I was there and a couple is across from River Islands parking lot taking pictures of the water and a alligator is coming from the other side right at the. The thing now is at the edge of the water an the man decides to go as close as he can to take pictures. Whenever I'm walking around here my head is on a swivel
