Have you ever taken a cruise before? Cruising has become one of my favorite ways to travel. Last week I went on a unique type of cruise with some incredible women called the Permission to Hustle Retreat at Sea. Even though I wasn’t able to share as much as I would have liked throughout the week, due to the Internet not allowing me to live my best life at sea, I am now back on land, so here is what happened on the Permission to Hustle Retreat at Sea.
First let me give you some quick background information about Permission to Hustle in case you aren’t familiar.
It’s a judgment free zone where people can feel safe asking questions and offering information to help, support and better others.
Sounds amazing right?
Earlier this year when Audrey and Vera announced they were taking their positive, motivating space to the sea, I knew I had to attend.
Now that it is over (insert huge sad face) and I have had some time to reflect a bit, the words that come to mind when trying to appropriately describe the week are priceless, powerful, emotional and game-changing.
Here Is What Happened On The Permission To Hustle Retreat At Sea
We connected, enjoyed meals together, toasted one another, laughed, danced and sang.
People felt safe and secure enough to tell stories of successes and failures, both in their personal lives and business.
Women who haven’t felt comfortable in swimsuits or even making new friends, shed their insecurities and put themselves out there.
My mind was blown and overloaded (in a great way) with ways to streamline and build my business.
Encouragement was given and vulnerabilities were shared.
Bonds were formed while a sisterhood was created.
Memories were made thanks to swimming with stingrays, catamaran rides, karaoke sing-a-longs, bingo and brunch at sea.
What did I take away from the Permission to Hustle Retreat at Sea?
One of the main takeaways was that we need each other.
Women need to understand it is ok to ask for help.
Taking time away for yourself isn’t selfish, that is called self-care.
We need real genuine friendships.
We need community, support, encouragement, tips to make our lives easier, a shoulder to cry on and people to tell us we are worth it and enough.
Here is what happened on the Permission To Hustle Retreat At Sea, which I will never forget.
I walked away with the words, “worry about yourself”, “focus on your on business” and “be the best you that you can be” ringing loudly in my ears.
