Fourth of July is coming up (why is this year flying by so fast?), so I was thinking of some fashionable ways to show off your patriotic spirit.
Since there are sure to be lots of barbecues, family gatherings, pool parties, beach bonfires, fun events with friends and of course fireworks throughout your Fourth of July weekend, why not show a little Independence Day style.
I love the idea of mixing some red, white and blue into my Fourth of July fashion, minus the American flag bikini of course.
I am not a big fan of fashion that you can only wear one time. My Fourth of July fashions can be worn throughout the year (not just for one occasion).
So just in case you are a little fashionably challenged as to how to display your love for America the beautiful, I have 5 fashion ideas for what to wear on the Fourth of July.
Fashion: What to Wear on the Fourth of July
My top favorite way to incorporate a pop of red into your Fourth of July fashion is with a pair of patent red Tieks. In case you are not familiar with Tieks, they are by far my most favorite flats. Tieks are not only incredibly stylish, but extremely comfortable too (in fact I recently walked around ALL DAY at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in a pair of Tieks).
I have really embraced the fringe trend this year, and Sam Edelman’s Sailor Blue Estelle Fringe Sandals offer the perfect dose of patriotic style. I love that these comfortable flat sandals can be worn all summer long, even after the Fourth of July fireworks have died down. Hurry up because they are on sale at Amazon now (you can order them now and have them just in time for the Fourth of July weekend).
Since it will most likely be nice and warm wherever your Fourth of July festivities may be, this Eat, Drink, and Be Maritime Dress from Modcloth will keep you looking fashionable, yet feeling perfectly cool.
I think that this casual Enrapture the Flag Top would have you looking perfectly festive, especially when paired with some midi denim shorts or distressed skinny jeans.
I hope that no matter what you are wearing, you get to celebrate the Fourth of July with friends, family and lots of fireworks.
Please leave me a comment and share what you like to do (or wear) to celebrate the Fourth of July in style!
