Now that summer is in full swing, I hope that you find yourself having some lazy pool or beach days. I also hope that those lazy pool or beach days include a good book. There is nothing like listening to the ocean crash along the shore and feeling the sun’s warm rays, all while being immersed in a fabulous story.
When I went on vacation to Curacao a few months ago, I was so proud of myself for the fact that I actually read two full books. Let me tell you that with 2 busy kids, a husband and a full-time job, reading two books in their entirety within a week is a very rare occurrence these days. After I returned from my trip I promised myself that this summer I would make more time for reading because I absolutely love getting lost within the pages of a good book.
Since more reading this summer has been such a goal of mine, I decided to share the list that I came up with of 12 books you will want to read this summer.
If you have yet to read this amazing book, please put it at the very top of your list, because it is truly an incredible story. I finished reading this book on my flight home from Curacao and I was in tears from all of the many emotions that this book evokes. Me Before You was recently made into a movie (which is also a must see movie this summer along with Bad Moms).
With the first book being so amazing, it’s only right that you continue reading to see what happens next.
The title of this book alone will help you feel empowered and like you can take on anything, (but all that can wait until the summer is over).
This book is for us moms that want to half-ass it all year-long! This is a must have, laugh out loud, keep in your beach bag at all times book to read this summer.
There is nothing like a good mystery/ thriller type of book, especially when you have a beautiful pool or ocean to keep you company.
I love this beautifully and mesmerizing story about a blind French girl and a German boy whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War II.
I hope that you get to escape sometime this summer, whether it may be to a beautiful beach or via your imagination while reading a good book.
Have you read any good books lately? Please comment below and share them with me, as I am always on the hunt for a good book to read and relax with.
